Kerri Edwards – Owner/Director

I am Kerri Edwards, the second owner/operator in the Children’s Nest over 25 year history. My husband and I have 4 boys, Brayden, Cameron, Lane, and Marshall. All who have attended classes at the Children’s Nest at some point, and three still do. I attended Virginia Tech on scholarship while playing Volleyball and earned my bachelor’s degree in Human Services in 1999. I worked for the New River Valley Community Services Board for 10 years until my husband’s work moved us to Northern Virginia. We relocated back to the area after purchasing the Children’s Nest in 2016 and are happily raising our family in Blacksburg. I enjoy meeting so many families through the Nest, and watching all of our children learn and grow together.

Christina Ramsey – Assistant Director and Program Director

My name is Christina Ramsey, and I am originally from Buena Vista, VA. My husband and I have two children, Logan and Katie. I earned my bachelor's degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from Virginia Tech in 2010 and my master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Radford University in 2012. I began working at Children's Nest as an undergraduate in May 2009. After graduating, I worked with the Head Start program before returning home to the Children's Nest as the Program Director in July 2014. Children are amazing little people, and I feel so lucky that I get to spend each day watching them and helping them grow into amazing big people!
