The Raccoon room serves toddlers 10-18 months and provides countless materials and activities to promote physical, emotional, and social development. As you can imagine, this is a busy room full of active exploration!
Each toddler, 10 to 18 months, receives a daily communication sheet so that the parents know exactly what went on during the day. This helps us to maintain consistency and routine between home and school, which is imperative for children this age.
The toddler room is led by four experienced teachers. The teachers provide a variety of materials and activities for the children to explore. Some of their favorite activities are 'catching' bubbles and dancing. Some Raccoons may require more than one nap per day and both cribs and cots are available for this age group.
When the weather permits, the Raccoons enjoy going outside to their own playground twice a day. The toddler playground is separate from the older kid's playgrounds, as to ensure a safe environment.
