During the summer, our fantastic schooler program is open to all children! It serves children who have started Kindergarten through children who have not yet turned 13 years old. We take field trips every day of the week, going to fun places such as the pool, Safari Park, the library, Steppin' Out, Natural Bridge, and Hand in Hand Park. On the days that our field trip is cancelled due to weather, we have special days here at The Children's Nest, such as Board game days or movie days.

Field trips change year to year and always incorporate the newest and most activities offered in and around the New River Valley. Breakfast, Lunch and snack are provided except for a few field trip destinations that require children bringing a packed lunch from home.

Our summer program provides full day child care (6:30am-5:45pm)
